Does my child need to purchase a book?
Yes, if your child is starting a new group.
Yes, if your child is staying in the same group, but finished their book from last year.
No, if your child is staying in the same group and did not finish the book they were working on last year. If your child finishes their current book during this Awana year a Mid-Year Payment Form will be sent home with your child and the payment for the new book will be requested at that time.
Yes, if your child is staying in the same group, did not finish their book, but cannot find it now.
Note: If your child is new to Awana they need to start in Book 1 of their group regardless of their grade.
Does my child need to purchase a uniform?
Yes, if your child is new to Awana or if they are starting a new group. Each group has their own uniform. Sparks (K-2nd) has a red vest, Truth & Training (3rd-5th Grade) has a green t-shirt. Since children may remain in one group for multiple years, to select a size of uniform please take into consideration the child’s current size and anticipated growth. Awana uniforms run small, so please order one size larger than your child’s normal size.
When will my child receive the items I purchase?
Handbooks and uniforms will not be handed to the children until they have completed the entrance booklet (done on the first club night) for their group as required by Awana. If your child is starting their second or third year of their group, then their book will be given to them upon arrival.
